Post Archos 404 Review Coming Soon

I know this player is kinda old and the new next gen 5 series expected to be out soon but there was no successor to the 404 which I liked because of its bigger 30GB HD and it wasn't overly big. I am buying one from walmart tomorrow July 20 for 189.99 reg. 219.99. I am gonna be writing a review so expect to see it with next week before I take on my trip with me to cedar Point in Ohio.

Got My Archos, Have to get used to the tac-tile controls but other then that Everything has been great.

When spending in the $150+ price range I would rather buy things new and spend some more money knowing that its never been used and no previous user may have abused it.

Default Archos 704 wifi

I recently bought archos 704 wifi, I just like to ask if I can transfer a movie in a vcd/dvd to archos 704 unit using my cd rom in my notebook??

Have you ever ask email message question to archos technical or customer service thru their webpages?? I send several questions n inquiries but got not a single reply. Is archos company still exists???

I have a Digital Media converter software program in order for me to convert any videos from one extension to another but it seems that Archos unit is very unpredictable, what are the video exotension they really allow in the unit?? manual is not clear if you are not a video tech person.

Hope anyone here could help my 3 queries.

Thank you

yes Archos still exists in fact if you had waited a bit you might have liked the new 605 or 705 Wifi coming out. VCDs I'm not sure about (probably will) but DVDs will work like that but you will have to pay for the license to do so. You can purchase the plug in from the Archos store for about 20USD
