Default sand in nano!!! help!!

So I spend most of my days digging trenches, shoveling dirt all over the place, etc..etc... Silly me brings my nano to work at this job where the ground was all made up of sand, and now it's jammed up my control buttons, and clogged the headphone jack.

Anyone know how to get it apart so that I can clean it?

Very, very carefully!

I believe there are one or two screws within the battery compartment (don't have my MuVo handy to check), but overall, everything is held together with thin plastic clips.

Your best bet might be to try to blow the sand out with a can of compressed air - though that might force some sand deeper into the player.

Looking inside the battery compartment, there's no screws anywhere. The only thing that looks like it might be holding it together is a small slot next to the headphone jack. Tried prying it open, but stopped before I broke something.

Tried blowing air into it, but all it did was fog up the display.

I don't blame you - that plastic is pretty delicate.

So I did manage to get it open, got it all cleaned out, but now it won't stay closed. Was going to try some crazy glue on the seams, but am worried the plastic might be too fragile, and the glue will melt it.

I think you'd be okay with the super glue - but I would pull the player apart first, locate all the tabs along the edges that are supposed to hold the thing together, and apply a tiny drop to each tab, then close the thing back up again -- and pray to God you never have to open it again!

Hehe..well, sorry for wasting everyone's time after figuring it all out... guess I just needed that mental leap from thinking/writing about it to doing it.
