Default Dead Pixels

Hi, I got a brand new T9 from US.
Beautiful player, very slim! The quality of video playback is amazing!

And precisely when I was watching some videos, I notice two dead pixels . I'm afraid that it isn't normal, and I want to know if your T9 have some dead pixels too, and if they will grow up with time (how faster?).

Thanks in advance

This should never happen, and once an LCD develops a problem it doesn't usually correct itself. If it's still brand new try taking it directly back to the place of purchase for a replacement unit, as it will be quicker and easier than sending it back to Samsung.

nope, doesn't happen on mine! Why don't you call Samsung and see if it can be fixed. If not, then either return it to the place you bought it, or send it to Samsung (as long as the warrenty is still valid)

Well, the player my sister brought from US, actually I live on Brazil, so we can't take it back (we bought from amazon). But this two dead pixels are really hard to notice, they died as a light color, so we can notice just when the screen are really dark. And is two pixels! I think I can live with that, since the number of dead pix doesn't increase. Maybe some T9 of yours got some dead pix (like one or two), but to notice them you gotta be a really "pain in the ass customer" like I am . I was wondering if there are some kind of limit of dead pix, some quality margin of the display which samsung guarantees; maybe a few number of really hard to notice dead pix is expected (as you can see I'm just trying to live together with this sad reality; I wish I had a perfect LCD display )

As a consumer, if a product isn't perfect, you have every right to take it back. It's up to you to decide if the problem is worth the trouble of being without the player while it is off for repairs.

I think I will keep it, I'm afraid the new player comes with equal or more dead pix! Thank you for reply.

As long as you can put up with it you might as well hold on to it. Even if you do return it you might find a different issue with the replacement.
