Travel vs. Home. Which to buy ????

Rapidly approaching the longest a 504 has ever worked properly for me.... 2 weeks!! By properly I mean I have experienced no shut down issues that the first two units suffered from (static). It's nice to know the static issue seems to have been a quality control issue rather than the 'norm'.

Now that I've completely 'jinxed' myself...

I wonder if based on the below what people think? I am torn between either the DVR Travel and the Home Base.

I don't see myself recording with the device (but it would be a nice option). I usually transfer from my home PC since I have a capture card built in. I have no desire for all the a/v options the home base provides as my video source and TV are standard def (but again... it would be nice to have options). I already own the AC charger to keep the unit powered and I have two a/v cable sets that work with my Archos. I have been happy with the component output I have viewed.

So....

what do you think? Travel Base or Home Base?
