My Sansa Express has this CONNECTED logo thing on the screen but it's not actually connected at all. And when I try to plug it into my computer, it says that my device malfunctioned. What can I do to help?

Have you removed the drivers and then reinstalled the drives? Does your computer have WMP10 or WMP11?

I Bought My Sansa Express Last Year In September By December It Stopped Working Just Like The Problems I Am Reading About. I Emailed To Sandisk Support But No Answer To Question.so This Whole Week I Been Emailing Them About It Shutting Off They Said I Need To Reset It Did All That Nothing.then Say Go Download The Firmware Did That But Nothing My Computer Tells Me It Found New Hardware But Nothing Happens. Now Whatever The Mtp Mode Means And Msc Mode Means I Don't Know But To Get To The Other I Have To Go To Menus And In Setings Change Over How Can I Do That If I Can't Turn It On. Although Other Info From Nitro Seems Interesting, I Can't Find The Portable Device Category I Can't Do Anything Else. I Am Only Computer Capable Not A Computer Whiz So A Lot Of This Stuff Is Over My Head. I Need It Broken Down In Dummy Terms.

I've been having this problem with my Express. I don't have a micro SD card and would rather not buy one. Has anyone figured out another fix? I've tried hard reset, reformatting (which my computer won't let me do), don't know what else to try.
![]() Same issue, I turn it on and it shows "Sandisk" for a few seconds then goes blank. When I plug it in it doesn't charge. Anyway, it's probably time to buy a new player
