Unhappy Zen Neeon freezes on "Connected-to-PC" display

After I disconnected the player from the USB cord (connected to my PC), the image/thing that shows up on the player's screen while you're connected to the PC/transferring files from the PC to the player is still shown on the player. If I reset it then turn it on, that same image shows up on the screen.

I can still listen to the files on the player while it's connected to the computer. I can still transfer and modify the files on it.

I tried executing the Firmware downloader I downloaded from the Creative Labs Singapore website, but there is an error that appears: "Device detection failed! Please power off it to generate system file." then "Device upgrade failed!".

So: I can't use (listen to music) my player if it is disconnected from the PC. All I can see, after booting up and aside from the Creative logo, is the image/thingy that appears when it is connected to the computer. So, it's like the player is still thinking it's still connected to the PC even when it's not. Firmware downloader isn't working...so what do I do? I've tried formatting, tried doing the recovery mode steps...Help?

Edit: I tried the steps for Recovery mode and stuff...I also defragmented, executed the firmware program again...gaah, it just fixed itself.
