You don't need to redownload, you just need to burn properly.

Default warranty...

Hi Gigman, i tried with all the instructions you gave me, but i am getting the following error:

root@andres-laptop:/home/andres/Desktop/e200tool# ./e200tool recover BL_SD_BOARDSUPPORTSD.ROM
e200tool v0.2.3-alpha (c) by MrH 2006, 2007
Searching for device 0781:0720 ... found!
Initializing USB stub (4780 bytes) ... done!
Writing 'BL_SD_BOARDSUPPORTSD.ROM' to address 0x10600000
Searching for device 6666:e200 ... 9 8 found!
Write at 0x10634ecf
Control message (-71, Protocol error)

any idea???

anything else, did you already sent your sansa back so they can fix it?
do not you think installing rockbox they can claim that the warranty is voided???

when i sent my sansa back a while ago, i talked to a buy first, and he said its fine, they just sent me a new one, and it got back a while ago, normmally putting aditional firmwear on it wont void the warenty, it should, but it doesnt.

Sorry I haven't been around; just got back from vacation.

GJ getting linux - e200tool is your best bet for recovering, but I haven't used it enough to know what that error means or how to fix it.

If you do end up sending it back, there's no way for them to know you used rockbox.

I finally got a new build out. I had been waiting to see what would happen with the album art commit to SVN.

This one should be good and stable. I fixed the loading image too (it was not there last build). My build should work with pictureflow, but I'm not sure if resizing works yet.

Enjoy!

Pictureflow is included. Pictureflow should be included in everything now since it is a part of SVN, so anything that has been updated since it was committed will have it.

I would recommend upgrading since a lot has changed in SVN recently. Normally I would recommend getting a good working build and sticking with it until something you care about changes, but with SVN album art commit, pictureflow, etc I would recommend an upgrade.

There weren't really much changes, only pictrueflow. The rest of the changes concerned the manual and rbutil =)

Yes, but I haven't updated my build in over a month... so there are a few more for me.

Not quite sure what you're asking here. My build includes a custom tagnavi_custom.config file that changes the way the database is organized. I find it much quicker to find music this way. If you don't like it, you can edit it yourself using the instructions on the rockbox wiki, or you can just delete the file in your .rockbox directory and it will go back to the default.

I also just updated the default theme for my build, RettumPodv2, to include a gradient line selector. It looks sexy.

i was asking if it was possible to view the tags of the currently playing tags like in cpchans builds, its a handy feature but i can live without it.

about the tagnavi_custom.config if i delete/edit that file can i have albums sorted by track number, it seems very odd to have things sorted by alphabetical track name.

Still not sure what you mean, i've never used cpchan's build. The ID3 tags should show on the wps.

Yes, you can edit the tagnavi_custom.config file if you want. It is formatted according to the tagnavi wiki page on rockbox.org. If you delete it, it goes back to the default. IDK if the default is to sort by track number or not. I generally just use a playlist on shufffle, so it never even occurred to me to do that.

Basically what the tagnavi.config does is makes the first item Artist->Track. I find the album sort pretty much useless since I usually have only a couple songs from any album. If you like it, put it back in. What I really like about my custom one though is that the second item down is most played, it it has some more powerful search features than the default.

Thanks. I like hearing people use it. Merry Christmas to you too.

Pictureflow has had a lot of improvements from what I hear, so I might get another one out soon. Maybe it will be a christmas build
