Default CPU Scaling

I think CPU scaling was added to SVN today...although all I can find is that it was not causing crashes, don't know if it improved battery life.

Yep, it was. More speed enhancements for WMA too. I should have a new build out by tomorrow. Maybe I can get one done tonight if I have time.

Thanks.

I updated to SVN, which was the main reason for this latest build because there are multiple updates/bugfixes.

I also added the Iphone WPS. It looks awesome on the previews, but I don't expect it to work on this build because it requires some patches that are currently out of sync. In a couple days I should have a build with all the required patches to the WPS will work properly.

Already working on the WMA support? That's fast service...

I do have a question: How can you add tag support for WMA files?

I think linuxstb already added limited tag parsing support to the codec a couple days ago. I'm not sure though, I mostly keep to the codec itself.

Tag support was, to my knowledge, added to svn almost a week ago. I think my last 2 builds as of now include it.

I think there was a problem with one of the patches in my last build since some WPSes aren't displaying correctly, so I will do a new build shortly to see if that solves the problem.

I think there may be a problem with my last build. Its nothing serious, but some of the WPS's won't display correctly. I tried to do another build yesterday and it wouldn't compile, so I'm downloading some fresh source right now to get back on track. Hopefully I'll have a working one up later today.

Update: It was a problem with the build directory, but I have resolved it and it is fixed in the latest build.

Rockboy got more sound support added in SVN recently, so I'll put out a new build for that soon. It should also have the re-synced multifont patch.

Hey I love you build but is it possible to get rid of the line on the top of the screen?

Default Quick question on album art and themes

Hey, aren't the "xxxxxAA" themes supposed to be able to display album art? I can only see the album art "cover.bmp" on a couple of themes (Kratoglass is the one I'm using right now). I thought the "AA" designation meant they would display album art.

Default Album art support

Currently it was limited to bmp files only. While it may be an inconvenience to convert jpg to bmp there should be a few bulk conversion utilities available.

Yes, I know. Like I said, though, only a couple of the themes are displaying the "cover.bmp" album art files. I thought all the "AA" suffix themes would be able to. For instance, "OrangeAA" or "AnemoneAA" should be displying album art files, right? I've placed cover.bmp files in every folder with the Rockbox Album Art tool, and they do display properly in a couple of themes, but not all the "AA" themes. That's what I was wondering about.

USS-Soverign: It is a known rockbox bug that only appears in certain hardware, and is being worked on.

Pookie: I'll have a look to make sure it isn't a problem with themes or pathes. If problems persist, have a look at the Album Art wiki page.

Digerati, are you aware of the patch that Cpchan and chrisjs are using that currently addresses the line issue? (i assume you are, but never hurts to ask just to make sure).

Thanks, Cpchan's build already has it; do you guys work together?

I was unaware of that patch. It will be added to my next build, along with wheel acceleration, all iPhone WPS patches (multifont, customline, list position), and backlight patch.

Unfortunately I will be out of town for the next three days, and it doesn't look like I'll have time to do a build before I need to leave... so those patches might need to wait a couple days.
