I think it was corrupted during upload because i downloaded it and it didn't work for me. The original zip on my computer worked fine for me. I replaced the file with the original, so it should work now.

If it is still broken let me know. I'll probably do another build soon anyway.

OK I'll do another build today and find the zip error in the process. Thanks for posting back. Check later today or tomorrow for a fixed build.

Edit: New build done, I've tested it and it worked for me. After the speed updates in SVN it seems very fast. Scrolling while playing music isn't really slow anymore.

I have noticed that SVN supports FM and recording. Is that FM recording, or does it also included voice recording?

Both. Go to Settings -> Recording Settings -> Source to select one. I usually leave it on Mic, because if you go to FM Radio -> (Down) -> Recording it automatically selects FM Radio as the source.

New build is done.

I'm curious as to how the SD card patch is going. I've been reading a lot about it, but haven't tested it myself since I don't have an SD card. If there is a need for it I would be glad to include it in my build, but I also want to make sure it doesn't slow it down too much. Any comments are welcome.

I was wondering why it said 6MB - It has all the themes included. I just checked the link as well, and it does work, so chances are the wrong link was just used.

Thanks. Yes, themes are included. I wrote a neat shell script that automatically adds all of the themes into the zip file. BTW, none of the blackglass themes work. I added them for the last release based on the screenshot, but just realized that they are all broken. I will either fix them myself or remove them from the next release.

There is a RockBoy update in SVN that should fix sound and add a few features. I plan to do a new build tomorrow which will include this update. I'll have plenty of time to look for new patches and themes too.

Default some ridiculous questions

Call me lazy, call me sorry or whatever but can someone tell me please how one can compile a custom build in a linux environment (mandriva/.rpm pkgs if this matters) with somewhat detailed instruction. I am one of these people that *usually* needs to be told only once to get to crackin' on something, but I yearn for my own custom builds and wps's and the rockbox wiki only outlines compiling a build on a windows platform. Thanks all!

I didn't think they worked either, until I read more closely and realized that they require the scrolling margins patch. Once I added that to my build, they work fine.

In that case scrolling margins will be added. Thanks for that.

zhab: Linux is exactly the same as cygwin. Just skip the steps that involve installing cygwin and use your BASH shell anywhere you need to type in cygwin. your first step should be creating a rockbox directory and then running
Code:
svn co svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk rockbox
Go to the index and look at "for developers"->"simplified guide to compiling"

I added the scrolling margins patch to the latest build. The blackglass themes look awesome on the player. I'm currently using blackglass DeepBlue.

SD card support just got accepted into SVN so I will do a new build today or tomorrow. Also I added my new RettumPackAA theme pack to the build. I think it looks sweet.

If it just got accepted, my build most likely just crashed - SVN doesn't seem to like merging the files...

In particualer the DockPodAA theme. iv searched up and down these forms for a manual or anything. Can someone fill me in on what to do or point me in the right direction? thank you.
