This is a custom Rockbox build for the SanDisk Sansa e200. I thought I would release it since there don't seem to be very many builds for that right now. I'm trying to keep it un-bloated and applying a minimum number of optimization patches. Since this is the build I use it should be mostly up-to-date with SVN. If you like this build, show your support by helping Rockbox. This build is not officially supported by the Rockbox team. Any bugs in this build should only be reported here. Patches included in this build may or may not ever be committed to the official Rockbox build. Latest Update: 2008-01-05

Thanks. I got most of my patch ideas from your and chrisjs's build. You guys do a great job.
Edit: Recent SVN commits are awesome! The sound is incredible and there was just another sansa update for SVN that decreases scrolling lag. Last edited by digerati1338; 05-17-2007 at 09:28 PM. |

I updated to svn as of 5-22. I had to remove the audioAPI patch because it is out of sync. I also added the FM Tuner patch just for fun. If it causes too many problems I will remove it. I also welcome any patch suggestions.

donutman: I'm adding most of what I think are the important patches, but I don't want to add too many that aren't used often to keep the size down. This also increases simplicity. If there is a specific patch you want added, just post it with a reason and I'll look at it.

If you want to make a patch you open bash and run "svn diff file.c > patchname.patch" |

Is space really an issue? I mean even if you add all cpchan's patches and chrisj's together, you still won't have more than 2 MB. Adding more good patches makes Rockbox better so I don't understand why someone shouldn't apply patches if they're actually necessary and available.

Does your build allow voice recording and FM recording?

No one's build supports those functions; they haven't yet been worked out on the Sansa.

Is there a way to dual boot Rockbox and the 'original' Hebrew firmware? I just can't seem to get it going.

How did you change the rockbox logo in the beginning?
I would love to have a personalized logo when rockbox starts. I just hope it doesn't require to compile it. I'm not familiar with it at all. |

Can't confirm it, but probably by modifying apps/bitmaps/native/rockboxlogo.176x54x16.bmp

Sorry I've been away for so long. I should be able to get another build up tonight or tomorrow with some more modifications. And the boot image got erased when I reverted source before my last build so I will include that as well.

[quote]can u add the music led? i love that patch[/quote I'll look into it b4 my next build. New build is up. Didn't have a whole lot of time, but it is more current now and should work a little better. Last edited by digerati1338; 05-29-2007 at 11:24 PM. Reason: Updated Build |

download mi4code from daniel's site. Then run "mi4code decrypt -s Hebrew.mi4 OF.bin" move the output OF.bin file to "/System/OF.bin" and replace the one that is already there. If you want the OF to load by default look at my reverse bootloader.
I tried to do that, but mi4code gives me an error: 'Unable to decode the file (maybe the key is not known)! Do you know the key? |

make sure you have the latest version of mi4code. Judging from that error, I would assume that the hebrew firmware uses a different key than the default firmware and mi4code is not recognizing it.
Back on topic: New build is done. It includes recent SVN commits - FM radio and Recording. It also includes several new themes that come packaged with it. Rockbox on the sansa is really starting to come along well, and I haven't used the OF in several weeks now, aside from USB. I think that is on the summer of code list so that should be fixed soon too. Last edited by digerati1338; 06-06-2007 at 06:12 PM. Reason: New Build done |

Confirmed - The zip file is broken
WinRAR can partially open it, saying unexpected end of archive (maybe the program you used crashed?) but quite a few files are missing
