Default Creative Xmod

will the Creative Xmod enhance my sound on my desktop? I'm using a 5.1 logitech surround sound system (x530) with a Diamond Xtreme 7.1/ 24 bit sound card.

Thanks!

Google reviews of it - they are generally very positive. I have one and have finally got it hooked up and say yes! yes! with the caveat that it is hard for me to compare with and without sound readily. Simply turning off the effects to judge may not be reliable.

I apologize for my vagueness. What I meant was that I wasn't sure how to interpret your last response. Im not sure if I should get the creative xmod or no.

For me, it has panned out to be a definite go, but....

I don't use it on my desktop as I have been unable to figure out how to get it to behave when recording streaming interent radio, which I do a lot of. I use it with some powered speakers elswhere and am very happy with it there.

Also, It is a stereo device, I think, so you lose your 5.1 effects. You should verify this.
