Dumb cousin + NTFS = sad Sansa
I recently got a Sansa e250. It was working quite nicely...until my cousin got ahold of it. He likes to pretend that he is an expert on anything tech-related when in actuality he isn't. Long story short, he thought it would be better to connect the Sansa to the computer (I have it configured in MSC mode because I also use it as a USB ThumbDrive) and reformat it's internal memory as NTFS ("Dude, NTFS is better! FAT is so old-school!"). Needless to say...I am now the proud owner of a shiny black brick.
I already tried reinstalling the firmware and using the recovery and update tools available on the Sandisk website, but nothing seems to help. The most progress I can make is that it'll start up, but then it'll say that the memory is full when in fact there is absolutely nothing on it.
How can I get my Sansa back in working order?
