Creative Wall Charger MELTED!!!!!

I plugged my Vision:W last nite to charge. Great.

Now today, i went to plug it in and noticed the end of my wall charger had the plastic melted away from the end. Anyone have any idea what the deal is? i do keep it plugged in, but nothing hot near it (iron) to do such a thing, im stumped. Anyone else have a problem like that? Does the warranty cover that?

Whoa, dear God! Please tell me that's not the cord that plugs into the mains!

I would not use that charger anymore - not unless your homeowner's insurance is fully paid up! Seriously, something short-circuited inside that thing, and continued use may be disastrous!

oh no...as soon as i noticed it i taped it up and tried it again but realized it was no longer working.... i shouldnt of even done that, i know.
Anyway, i unplugged it and wonder if creative would give me a new one since ive only had it for about 6 months. Ya think? Im still stumped btw, have no clue how that happened. Really odd.

I couldn't really tell you. You could always contact them and ask. However, I don't thing the warranties on their chargers extends much beyond 30 days.

You don't have a small animal that could have chewed on that causing it to short do you? Cat? Rabbit?

I had a rabbit that just loved to chew my stereo power cords, speaker cords, etc.... amazing that he didn't get fried.. smelled something burring one evening, stereo went dead.. guilty rabbit found in back of my entertainment cabinet... no worse for the wear.
