![]() I walked into Best Buy with a mini-to-mini cable and three DAP's cued up to different kinds of music to test with...tried out several different models, and then out of the corner of my eye the red subwoofer caught my eye.....within two minutes of playing with it, I decided that it had to be mine. I've never played a cassette or a CD in it, or even used the radio....always just run DAP's or now the tablet into it. It pretty much fills the whole nightstand...the lamp barely fits beside it, and there's not much room in front of it. And now I don't have to worry about falling asleep with headphones on and potentially breaking them in my sleep.

The only 2 boom boxes I like are ^this one^ and the JVC Kaboom Box (the garbage can). The newer Kaboom Box isn't as loud, but the one WalkGood has is. The older model kicks azz, just like yours Marv.

I always wanted one of those Kaboom ones back in the day, but they were pretty expensive, if I remember rightly.

Yes, they are costly. But, if you did get one, you'd be evicted from the house. They're LOUD!!!

LSi7 , I have the LSi25 as my main ht speakers... As the LSi7 go, they are fantastic. The eq well or sound great flat. They are by far some of the best sub $1000 speakers I have heard to say the least. One word of caution, they are 4 ohm and not terribly efficient. You need a decent amp with high current handling to drive them. As sound goes I can say they sure are smooth and pleasant as is with no real huge spikes in the nasty frequencies like mid bloat.

![]() ![]() So one mod you have to do to the ultra curve in warm areas for stability is heatsinks ! Easy to do. The main cpu does not get super warm but the 2 dsps sure do. it also makes it sound more better or some audiofool bs :P As you can see though the ultra curve has all akm converters and even jrc relays, not bad given the companies shady history of devices. Monitor Audio RX1 bookshelf speakers: great sound and great looks harman/kardon HK3390 amplifier: nice build/looks, nice sound, high current and barely generates any heat when driving my speakers Onkyo CD changer Airport Express for music streaming Sennheiser HD598 Other stuff: 32" Panasonic LCD, PS3, and a Roku box.
