I use Sumiko Blackbirds and Blue Point Specials, but you might want to stick to Moving magnet cartridges until you get the hang of them, Ortofon makes good ones, but a nice cheap one is a Shure M97XE I had one on a Rega P3 I had, and it was pretty good for a <100$ cartridge. If you wanna get REALLY crazy, get a Linear tracking arm, you can pick up an older Eminent Technologies ET series arm (most likely an ET-1 maybe an ET-2 but that will run you more) for under $500 if you are patient
I'm saving for a Trans-fi arm myself, cause I don't feel like spending $2,500 for an ET2.5

I was hoping to use this thing as an amp for my Xbox 360 to use headphones with it. Unfortunately, it sounds like crap. There's quite a bit of bass (which isn't so bad) and the sound is really rattly. I have a FiiO E5 on its way that should hopefully work. The fact that it's portable is a nice added bonus.

I wish the records would become less instead of more... you can't imagine the hassle moving those 300-400kg of vinyl when painting the room.

It went up to 37°C lately - it's insanely hot here. Me living on the top floor of the building, right under the roof (without AC) doesn't help either.
