(Deal)Extreme luxury?

So, how many percent of an improvement does spending 200x the price bring?

I Found a Pioneer SX-1250 in my garage the other day.

But I use a shitty Sony HTIB (HT-DDW990), does the job and I don't have the money to be any kind of audiophile.

I got a similiar one, but I use it to watch bed time movies (don't understand it awkwardly :P ) and to do some work, when I am bored sitting at my desk... ;]

edit: not a DIY though. I got mine in IKEA.

Thanks gregzx, yes it's a DIY and it's real simple to make, basically it's just an easel. I’ve made some substantial mods to it since this prototype, but it’s basically the same design.

Pico doesn’t deliver the warmth of a nice tube amp, but it handles the job fine. The DAC sounds excellent and on high mode she can drive the 650s no problem. ¼ volume is all you need, you can go higher but it’s hard to take ½ volume for more than a few minutes.

A "told you so" is in order....

You know you can be happy when the only tiny step up in sound quality (if at all) would be a $1000+ RME Fireface...

An ugly but very effective mod to the hfi-780. now they are much more comfortable...

i had to remove the original 'leather' thingie, wich was (IMO) way too small, and didnt supply enough comfrort.
