i have a question regarding the jpeg viewer plugin in your rockbox build. i was once (a few month ago) very impressed that rockbox had no problem showing 7MP digital photos on the sansa doing all the resizing stuff. with the most recent build this is no longer possible (the plugin claims to be out of memory).

Have there been any changes limiting the max. memory for the jpeg viewer?

I have been trying out the new keymap for about a day now and honestly, I don't like it. If no one objects, I will be releasing a new version later on tonight, but with the old keymap.

oh and thank you cpchan for such a great build. One question i have though, why is it when i have crossfeed on my player could lock up to the point where i have to remove the battery to turn it off but doesnt when crossfeed is off?

cpchan, can you update your build with the latest svn? my player keeps freezing and in the latest svn it says the freezing was fixed. i'd be most grateful

Can't answer that question for you, but is there a reason you have to remove the battery. Holding down the power button for a good 20 seconds doesn't turn it off for you???

Since he's in Ontario, it's pretty late over there. I would assume that the update will be tomorrow morning...or at least some time tomorrow.

nope, the only way to turn it off is to remove the battery, what happens is the player stops works and the screen starts to change color.

Strange, I have no problems with crossfeed- It could be some combination of settings. Try starting with an empty config file and go from there. Also, can't you do a hard shutdown instead of removing the battery.

Can someone tell me if the latest Rockbox version allows you to fast foward and rewind through long tracks at a reasonable speed? I bought a Sansa awhile ago and the FF/RW speed was too slow, but never tried Rockbox.

In the "playback" settings, you can change the speed of fast forward/rewind to be very fast. (with rockbox)
