I was wrong, it DOES remember tha battery extimated time... but it doesn't battery or volume display. Anyway, I don't care.

At this time, the only thing I miss in rockbox is usb support, i'm not using OF for anything except USB.

Thanks

Just slightly smaller than 175 x 175, how about bigA:

?

Strange, I did some experimentation. If you manually save your settings with "Settings"-> "Manage Settings"-> "Save cfg file" , everything saves properly.

I will try that, but it doesn't matter. Speaking of the CFG File... do you know how can I set a different font type for the and main menu.... I want to use numbus-14 on Menu and nimbus-10 on wps. I manually edited the cfg file, adding wpsfont: /...... but it doesn´t work. I also tried adding this line to the theme cfg file... it didn't work either. What am I doing wrong?

Cheers

Not without the multifont patch and modifying the theme file. I am in the process of working on that patch.

Can anyone suggest a good starting Estimated Battery Benchmark for me. I know every battery would probably be slightly different due to it's age but this is just so I have an idea before fine tuning mine out? The default 5 hours 10 minutes seems a slight bit on the low side...

Try 10 hours. However, you should do a test by taking note on the start time with a full battery, use it as you would normally until it runs out. How long the battery last is highly dependent on the codecs and bitrates used, and your usage pattern.

me too. but one more thing is imho missing in rockbox:

a "fast usb charging" feature.
i think if the sansa is connected to usb when booting (the auto-poweron function), it should ask the user whether he wants to charge or use the sansa.
if no key is pressed within 10 seconds (example time), rockbox should directly go into a mode ("charge mode") where almost no things are started (the backlight is off, sound if off, processor at minimum speed etc.) so the power consumption is reduced to a minimum.
in this status the sansa should charge, maximizing charge efficiency.
after the sansa is fully charged, it should then turn completely off.
of course it should also be possible to turn rockbox into "charge mode" from the menu. and maybe a exit key to reboot rockbox from "charge mode" before fully charged would be nice, too.

at the moment i achieve a similar functionality by connection the sansa to usb and thus boot into OF and then turning it off. this is imho not very efficient though, as the backlight stays on :-)
but nevertheless the sansa still turns completely off when fully charged.

ah well, so theres also room for improovement :-) no matter what you do.

anyways, for NORMAL usage i do not use the OF at all and i am happy as it is :-) the rest is just goodies.

so keep up the good work, folks :-)

... I tried that, but it didn't work, volume display is back to "graphic after reboot. But, as you said, it's a SVN bug.

Awesome, I hope it's finished soon. If there's anyway that I can help, let me know.

Thanks

Are you sure you are saving it to config.cfg? By default "write config file" saves it to confg01.cfg.

Did you try different fonts in the different screens? If so, do they work for you? Do you have a MicroSD card? If so, is the device stable with it?

That's the one that got me thinking about a minimalist type large album art. It's just that BigA doesn't have a clock.
BTW, your branch so totally rocks.
