It is redundant. Short press on "Play" button will resume playback.

The LED patch is the only patch that chrisj's build has and this one doesn't. Charles won't apply this patch because it's useless eye candy that uses the battery. And I perfectly agree with him.

You mean the Music LED patch? The reason is that I personally don't use it and no one have asked me. Since, it can be turned off by not include the tag in the theme file, I have no objection to including it. If you want it, it will be in tomorrow's release. I am integrating a major patch right now and I want to test it out today first.

Oop, I have to rethink this. Some people do want a peek meter in their wps. I think I am going to ask the author to make it configurable or try to make it configurable myself before including it. Battery life is more important to me than eye candy.

You seem to forget, that the builds are not competetive. Anyway, cpchan doesn't have the Music LED (this is really battery life wasting, since it can't be turned of without destroying the theme). And, don't forget that their support is different!

You can go to the wps from any screen (with the exception of plugins) by a short press on the "Play" button.

regarding the led-patch:
maybe if its possible you could implement a new %-tag for the wps, like %led, to enable it. this would propably be the best idea.
or %pm for peakmeter without musicled and %pl for peakmeter with musicled.

being able to use pm without having musicled is one reason why i changed to this build :-)

btw:
i still hope someday someone implements support for multiple fonts in one wps. this would give us such nice possibilites for themes :-)

I really don't get it. I still have the Currently Playing screen with the latest update and it doesn't bother at all even when using the nimbus 14.

The OP was look for the menu entry in the main menu (which I took out in my builds) and don't know about the short press on the "Play/Pause" button. Rockbox is a lot more complex than the OF. People should really read the manual.

Hi,

since I upgraded to your latest build I'm having a strange problem. Rockbox always reports the battery level to be 0% but runs fine. When I go to System->Debug->View Battery it displays the correct voltage though (currently 4.11V).

It is rather annoying since I can't see the battery level, I have a flashing battery icon in the statusbar and when shutting down it says "Battery empty! RECHARGE!".

Does anyone have the same problem or any idea how to fix this?

Strange, as you can see in the screen dump, it is working fine for me. Try doing a hard shutdown. If that doesn't work, try delete the ".Rockbox" directory and do a fresh install.

That's exactly what I meant. I still have the menu entry in the main menu.

Yeah, I have the same problem. I booted into the Original Firmware and then Rockbox showed the correct battery level.
