Still getting the *Panic* - 14 Error. At least its working for a lot of people, so I guess I should try format the player and start over, just in case. I'll let you know if there's any improvement afterwards.

This is patch is actually eye candy stuff. But I don't think that it wastes much battery life.

sorry for noob question but I can't seem to locate how to revert to original firmware in case i would like to. Do i just delete the folders created when I unzip your installer?

There are 2 methods. Please refer to this:

Also, you can boot into the OF by holding the << button while powering on.

Here is the instructions to install Rockbox:

Just replace section 2.2.3 with my build. Don't forget you need both rockbox_1,zip and rockbox_2.zip. The reason why it is packaged this way is because there is a per attachment file size limitation on this site.

I don't understand. What are you doing? You mean you got it downloaded and ran the program. The bootloader should be installed, just disconnect safely.

Make sure you follow the installation instructions to a T.

yeah i ran sansaupdater and safely disconnected the player from Windows, but the player displayed "writing". I just rebooted it manually and got rockbox to run. installed dockadd theme too I'm just trying to explore the new available settings and getting to feel rockbox. next stop, i'll look how to play movies and display my photos as they are both not showing.

and you saw my deleted file, i thought i did something wrong as it suddenly worked, anyways it worked

sound quality seems at par with original firmware and i like the new options (bass, treble, EQ settings) so i think i have to play around for a while.

Yes, I got an answer from some of the Rockbox guys. Apparently they are in the process of switch to multiple servers.

This is because you are using the wrong formats. For photos, Rockbox using jpeg. For video it supports mpeg1 and mpeg2 videos (unrotated) with either the standard mpeg audio or mp3:

Charles, since I can play now videos on my Sansa (I bought yesterday a MicroSD card) I ran across the resume patch. The video doesn't resume when I want to resume it. It just says "resuming video at X%" and then "End of Video". I read the Flyspray site and it seems that people found a workaround. Could you look into it?

Great news - I fixed my MicroSD problem. Since I was at my grandmother's house, I used her MicroSD card (I really need one...) to see if it would make a difference in booting. While it was frozen (before inserting the card) I put the card in, and it immediately said Error SDCard: 1 (EC_POWER_UP). Rebooted the Sansa and now it works, with and without the card. Oddly, I remember inserting the same card into my Sansa before the MicroSD patch even came out (possibly there needs to be some sort of power going through the slot which wasn't before?)

So I guess for anyone else who has the same problem, pop a MicroSD card into your Sansa :P

Yes, this is planned. However, I want to get the "Recording enhancements" integrated first, which should happen in the next day or so.
