I've been waiting a long time for an update but I think that I'm ready to move on to another build so that I could take advantage of some of the newer features in Rockbox. Could anyone suggest another custom build that is similar to cpchan's? I've only ever used cpchan's branch (aside from the official Rockbox) and I'm very accustomed to the organization/menus. Thanks

I recently moved from cpchan to kugel's build and have been happy with the performance and features.

Yep, I think it's finally time to let go of cpchan's build (i've been using the january build until today), i tried kugel's last week but i had some weird problem where I couldn't access the context menu, so maybe I'll try again later...

But I'm still waiting for some random update someday, I'm a great fan of his work

Well, I use another keymap, the one which matches the official version (+ some features to the REC button).

I got used to it in like, 2 days. And it's better anyway! And if you don't like it, why don't you jump in and change it yourself?

I finally decided to do something that I should've done some time ago: read the manual

Now I found out how it works and yes, it's really good

Probably not. Most of the cpchan's patches have been accepted into the svn, so just use that one. Otherwise, Black Thunder's build is the only custom build that is currently maintained here. He has Anti-Aliased fonts, a few performance enhancements, a few re-mapped keys, and a couple other patches.

Yea.. the playback screen jacked up on mine too... like stuff was outta place ..odd.. so i just removed and reinstalled a stable setup.. :P

It isn't dead. I still use it. So it lives in my little black sansa.

I´m using this build for about 2 months now, and it´s great, despite of some hangs when accessing database on disk.
