Is there any way to make the player playing mp3s and having the mic on with adjustable gain ?
Im getting tired of taking the plugs out and in and out and in all the time at work when i have to talk to someone.
I think im not alone with that problem ?

Can you please explain this a bit better? I am not quite sure what you are trying to get at.

I think what he wants to do is have like a ducker on the main songs playing using the onboard mic as a key input. Kind of a neat idea.

I was thinking he wanted to be able to listen to people talk through the mic, so he didn't have to pull out his in-ear earphones. That would be cool. I get a bit tired of pulling them out, too.

INDEED ! A Great idea !!!

However, it should be enable-able by pressing the record button, so you're no constantly distracted by the office background chatter.

This is why a ducker using the mic would work better, if the outside volume gets above a certain level, the music would get really quite so you could hear, when person stops talking the volume could return to normal, or maybe have a hold time of a couple seconds before coming back up

That is certainly an very interesting idea. I guess it would be hard to have the mp3 playing and the mic recording and also playing at the same time. Or would the music be paused at the same time?

You could hit the record button, to pause the music and turn the mic on, so you could hear the person talking. With normal ear buds, just pausing the music would probably be good enough to hear the person talking. But, with in-ear ear buds, which block out a lot of sound, the mic would help you to hear the person speaking.

I figured out my Data Abort issue. If the WPS is set to display album art in a size larger than 110 by 110, I get a data abort around 8-12 seconds of the song playing. Here is my WPS coding. The bg.bmp is just a black background:

As i was trying to get my album art to show(still not working, sigh, i will get there, took all day to change my theme AND THATS LABELED) i had a idea...would it be possible to have a picture slide show in the album art space if no art is available? I really know nothing about programing but thought it may be nice to be able to see the song info volume ect and have a mini slide show. I do realize this is not a big deal...just thought it may be a nice touch.

In any case this i was just wondering. Again thanks for all the hard work.

Actually, another function that would be brilliant is the opposite of the sleep-timer (which I use quite often to put music on when I go to bed), the Alarm-clock! To play at shuffle when you wake up to not get used to the same sound. Would the boot-loader be able to wake itself up, somehow?

cpchan, you're kinda stalling the progress. It'd be nice if you could update your build to the new wps syntax, anything else will slow down the theme updating pretty much. Old themes work on your build, but they're meant to be updated to work with the new syntax, which my, isanggon and of course the official build are using.

i, along with the whole forum of users understand that you have a life and its been quite hectic lately, but plenty of times you've said, im testing a new release should be out in a day or two to no avail.

it does seem like it.
things come and go, technology fades only to be replaced, etc,
however im sure if you paw over the thread for an hour or two just skimming over peoples requests and links to said patches you could compile your own build and if all goes well, no conflicts etc you could be the next cpchan within days! so perhaps take the innitaive?
i know i wont cause all i use mine for is game boy games and pre installed apps, oh yeahh!!
but maybe perhaps someone outthere with time on their hands can.
