Hey no problem. I did it for selfish reasons- I want to use it. I am just making it available to others.

I'm no audiophile and I usually don't feel differences between sounds but this one sounds indeed very good.

Sure he could, but you probably won't like it. It's in a pretty raw state and is best termed "work in progress" at this point. I tried it and it's already gone from my Sansa (for now).

Hey, is it possible to move the positioning of items in the Context Menu? I've noticed that you added your own patch for the Playback menu. What I'd like is for Playlist to be the first item instead of Playback menu.

I don't know if people know this, but if you hold the Submenu button in the WPS, you have access to the playback options. So unless you are using the Playback menu for other purposes (Crossfade, replaygain) I feel that it would be better to have Playlist as the first item.

This way, all you have to do is press Submenu and click select two times to View the Curent Playlist

Yes, that could be done. I was actually think about it.

Don't forget turning shuffle on/off, repeat, etc.

Ok.... So I made one config on the default theme. I then took the settings that were given above and copied them into the config that gets created. I then added black aurora theme. I will see how it goes so far so good no faults

Yeah, but if you wanted to change those, you could instead hold the Submenu button under the WPS which is a lot quicker IMO, which is why I brought it up in case people didn't know of this shortcut

Hey i organize my music into folders by artist, then album, then song. It appers shuffle only works within a folder is that right??? I put all the artist songs into a musicR folder but it does not shuffle from artist to artis.

You have to understand how the playlist function works in Rockbox. Everytime you play something, a new playlist is created. View it and you'll see what I mean.

If you go to a specific artist and play All Tracks, that will become a new playlist and only music from there will play.

If you want to play all your songs, you could create the root.m3u8 playlist or just by browsing by Tracks

Incorrect, it can shuffle tracks in different directories. My usual setting is one big playlist of all my music on shuffle.

Try enabling "Settings"-> "Playback"-> "Auto-Change Directory"-> "Random".

thanks for all the help..... I figured out I had to build the DB and then use shuffle and then auto change directoy random. Dummy me was just going to file and then selecting a folder. I feel stupid as I should.... Also using the config settings has seemed to fixed all my issues.... Yeah no more using original firmware except to load music. Thanks Alll.....

Hopefully we don't have to soon. I can't stand the sight of the OF. Have you ever tried loading a large playlist in the OF? You will have to wait til next Xmas.

cpchan, the newest update is giving me trouble. when i turn the wheel clockwise or counterclockwise the audio skips. and the wheel is a bit slow in response

Strange, I am not getting any audio skip and most people actually thinks that the wheel is more responsive. Have you tried doing a hardware shutdown?

Yah, I installed your build, plus the standard fonts and changed font sizes... No other changes... When I go to the photo viewer it either Data Aborts, or goes and plays some music!

Strange, jpeg viewer works perfectly for me. Also, I have never seen 1 data abort. We are not sure why some people are getting it. Try one of the solutions in these 2 threads:

I noticed that when using your Rockbox build, music distorts more easily than in the normal Rockbox build and when I try to put a backdrop, comes backdrop failed text.

Do a hardware shutdown and see if the problem reoccurs.

Hum, just tested it out here- it works fine. However, I am using a newer version build an hour ago which I am testing out right now.

Please report back if you still have problems after doing the shutdown.
