I uploaded a synced version to flyspray. @disorganizer, no offense, but honestly you should start learning some basic C so you can synced them yourself. This is especially true when you apply multiple patches to your build- what might apply cleanly with SVN might not when you have other patches.

Not until I can find a good way to incorporate the extras keys that I have in my builds. That being said, I actually quite like the old key binding. What are the pros and cons to you?

Was using one of your older builds because some of your newer builds were causing problems - just updated to the most recent and everythin's workin great - thx for all the hard work!

All the other builds use the new keymaps (not sure about kugel's build), and i use different builds, sometimes the official, sometimes yours etc.

The problem is that i'm used to the new keymap, and therefore find it awkward when using your build which has the old keymap.

In one word: Consistency.

One of the main reasons I like cpchan's build are the old keybindings, I just can't get used to the new ones

I used this build from the very beginning and I got used to these bindings. I don't understand why the devs don't want to add three options for the MENU, SUBMENU(DOWN) and SELECT buttons so that the user can choose which binding he likes best. The whole "war" wouldn't have started and everybody, every single user will be satisfied.

Unfortunately I don't have enough C programming skills to make a patch, but if someone could do it, it would be simply incredible.

EDIT: Charles, if you would add such a patch, you would have 50% more users who use your build.

I was just wondering, what is Settings --> General Settings --> System --> Keyclicks.

What does it do?

If i'm not mistaken it should be to adjust the sound properties for when you press buttons.....'to hear clicks or beeps when you press a button, so you know when you pressed one'

Does that make sense?....I'm a little foggy today.

Yeah, thanks.

One more question, though it's more of a problem. I tested out the test build mentioned in your first post. After that, when the backlight turned off, it didn't turn back on (even though I pressed about every key). So, I thought it was a problem with the build, so I updated it back to your build (friday, jan, 25). This problem is still occuring though. Just to clear things up, the backlight turns on, but when it turns off, it doesn't turn back on.

What is the value of your "backlight time out"? It should be set to 2 sec or greater.

Default Next Release

There will be no release until Wednesday. My device will be tied up until then because I am running a couple of battery benchmarks to help test the "Device Disable" patch.

Hi cpchan,

I just posted a new version of the backlight-fading patch to the tracker. The brightness=1 bug should be gone now.

General question,

Can you save a playlist that has queued songs? It seems as though when I try, the queued songs disappear. Any ideas? Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong?. I'm using cpchan latest build

cpchan, great new release, i love it! I did notice one strange issue, and that's that the light of the scrollwheel doesn't go out when I put the player on hold. It does work fine when the player is not on hold, though. I'm testing with the settings on 2 seconds.

Settings / General settings / System / Wheel Light Timeout / 2s

Does anybody else experience the same thing?
