This is experimental version of rockbox. Just try it ![]() Note : If you use more EQ band, player showes slower working speed. When you change ignoring "the" option, you should re-initialize database. If you don't, there are no difference on database. Turn on "dircache" function to speed up response. Changed Correct mispatched "multifont patch" on previous build. Updated "korean.lang" to support korean language fully. Changed mx500 EQ configuration file(for mx500 earphone). Changed clock to 30/96mhz. Removed Gui-boost patch, custom-logo patch, etc. usb transfer function is disabled. Updated to latest svn and added slant, cowon, dis-wps-vp wps. This is Jonathan Gordon's comment which related with wps. ** BREAKS CURRENT WPS's ** * %P has been removed, merged with the new %pb * %pb is now %pb or %pb|bitmap|x|y|width|height| (any of those params can be - to use sane defaults... check wiki/task for more explaination) * New %Vl and %Vd tags which are used to setup and display conditionaly displayed viewports (%Vl|<id>|<usual %V params>| to set up, then %Vd<id> to enable the viewport * bumps the max allowed viewport count to 24 * you can setup 3 different progressbars in a WPS... max of one per viewport though http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/9027?getfile=16785 is a simple perl script to convert old %P/%pb to the new %pb syntax %m has been removed, but (i think) because of the other %m tags it wont fail if you try loading a wps with %m|..|, it will just be ignored. Also note that if the statusbar is enabled the default viewport is 8 pixels shorter than when its not, i.e (0,0) is really (0,8) if the statusbar is shown... I dont think this will be a major issue because almost no WPS show the bar and use bitmaps... text only WPS shouldnt be affected. Higher cpuspeed produce less delay when you use fully effected sound option. faster speed in rockboy and doom etc. But battery effeciency are little lesser.

Higher CPU speed also produces more heat when run at full speed, and has the possibility to damage both the processor and reduce total battery lifetime from the additional heat.

Of course, when use of mp3 or ogg format without more eq band, 30/80 is more effecient to use. someone needs more detailed sound option and more band in equalizer like me, cpu clock that 24/100 or 30/96 or 24/96 is more attractive option ![]() I tried 24/100 and 30/96, 30/96 is more stable. |

when you change song, if you use over 5~8band of equalizer there will delay about 2~5 sec. because over 5~8band, sansa need more processing power. if you want less delay, use less sound option.

Llorean, I agree to most of your opinion, but I didn't think 100mhz cpu clock will damage the processor. because pp5024's spec is 100mhz. some months ago, I tested battery lifetime 30/80 and 24/100. there was about 1 hour difference when I use 5band EQ in 30/80 and 8band EQ in 24/100. at same condition, I expect less than 15minute between 30/80 and 24/100. when sansa work with flac format music and no sound effect, battery time will be extended because flac format need less than 24mhz cpu clock, I think. Of course, when use of mp3 or ogg format without more eq band, 30/80 is more effecient to use. someone needs more detailed sound option and more band in equalizer like me, cpu clock that 24/100 or 30/96 or 24/96 is more attractive option I tried 24/100 and 30/96, 30/96 is more stable. im just wondering is your build safe to use?(lol im using it right now) |

![]() And which language do you use in text viewer? If your problem occur only in 2-byte language like korean, chinese, japanese, etc, text viewer in official rockbox build has same problem with 2-byte language. Changing codepage to utf-8 will solve this problem. |

Oh, you enabled USB? As far as I can see you also enabled USE_HIGH_SPEED. Using this is strongly not recommended, since it can easily damage the filesystem. ROCKBOX_USB is a bit more reliable, I'd still recommend to use the OF.

I can't reproduce this. Do you mean database refreshing in OF?
