Some people already posted but I just want to share mines
![]() - Time displayed on "Now Playing" screen - Faster FFWD - Folder/File + ID3 Browsing - Less lag time, if not, none at all when unlocking - Instead of scrolling, have a 3 line display. Looks kinda annoying - Usable while charging via USB - Video *sigh* |

Eject or unmount the USB device ("Safely Remove" in Windows) without unplugging it and it will recharge while plugged in to the USB port while allowing you to play songs.
The CPU in the K3 supports video, but seeing as the "T" series of the line advertise that functionality, I wouldn't get your hopes up of having video on the K3. Quote:
There's a "Lock" switch on the side. You press it down to turn on/off, you press it up to lock the buttons on the player. DOC is a proprietary Microsoft format. Don't get your hopes up. To stop playback of a song, hit pause. Some people prefer having the player resume on the last song you were listening to. This is actually a fairly standard feature on MP3 players. However, my Nomad DID have an option for me to set which screen it "starts" on when you first turn on the unit. That would be a nice addition. |

-Get rid of the fade-in.
-Have the option to show time remaining. -Show the time and date on the Now Playing screen. -Have a quick way to go back to the Now Playing screen from the menu. -Show bitrate. -Control how fast you rewind/fast forward; 2x, 4x, 8x, etc.. -Have the alarm clock start off soft and slowly increase in volume. |

How about the iPod-esque automatic playlist that lists the songs that are:
Newly Added, Top 25 most played, and the Last songs played? They'd be pretty nifty. And a shuffle feature that wouldn't repeat songs, as in it would play all songs just once during the duration of the shuffle feature. If you re-shuffle it, the count goes back to 0. I'd like that very much. The k5's shuffle feature isn't that much diverse. |

Have it gapless, because when I listen to mixtapes, it sounds real bad.

One thing that reall annoys me in using the player (in fact the only thing) is the fact that I love album browsing and listening... and every time I switch the player off and on again it restarts exactly at the position it was switched off - but is in ALL TRACKS mode instead of only the album I selected before switching off.
This really sucks when there are 600+ songs on there!! The only way is browsing through Genre - Artist - Album again...

Hi Guys,
As the initiator of this topic on this forum, I was really surprised to see the enormous amount of responses to the topic. It was so good, that someone decide to post something similar for the Samsung S5 forum. . Thankyou for all your responses and post.Anyways, after year and an half with the Samsung K5, I'm going to ditch it for the new Sony NWZ-A820 series walkman. It's time for an upgrade to a more better player. I've always stuck with the 1.59 Firmware. The only real good feature I ever liked about my k5 was the excellent sound quality (especially the Bass Boost) from the standard earphones and the slide out speakers (even though I rarely used it). The only real good feature of the Samsung Media Studio I ever like was how it retrieved the Music artist/title from Gracenote's database. The genre and the album was usually spot on. This saved me heaps of time searching through the internet for the exact details. This would only be the only reason why I would not be uninstalling the software when I upgrade to the Sony Walkman. Main complaints I had with this player was its Random/Shuffle of songs and playing newly uploaded tracks. Of all the tracks on the player, the k5 would most times play songs from tracks starting with letters A through to G. only occasionally it would pick songs from the other letters. Any newly uploaded tracks, the k5 would just skip it if you selected the song in Track view mode. It would only play it or recognise it if you chose it in Artist/Album or if you had it listed in your playlist. I really do hope I am making a right choice in upgrading to the Sony NWZ-A820 series walkman. If anyone has had similar experiences or with their k5, let us know. Cheers |

- Select different visualizations without having to change the EQ mode. (http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum...ad.php?t=29348)
- Show bitrate - A digital clock display behind the analog clock one - Video player |

Video wouldn't be possible with the OLED screen's bad colours.
For K3: -I wouldn't mind adding RDS if possible. -The visualizations would be nice too. -Both Tag AND Folder browsing like the T10 would be very nice. Otherwise, we're limited to MTP if we like tags. -Display, 3 line would be nice, Iistead of Title/Artist/Album -Just release some sort of update !!! |

Something that would be REALLY GREAT and maybe would increase the K3 solds:
Games Menu, with possibility to add different games from the PC. That would be reaaaaally awesome |

An option to select if you want to see the remaining time of the song instead of the time elapsed.
Wouldn't be this simply great? |

I'm just wondering, is the 4.10 firmware the last one?

I don't think k3 could handle games, since video isn't possible for it.

However, games could be released in the same colours as the K3's GUI (blue, red, green), and simple games, obviously, like Tetris, etc. (Then again... for the red version, a Terminator game might be nice )

To me, i have an iPhone, so the games and video and stuff is pointless, the only thing here that got my attention is the line-in function (or aux). With my laptop i usually listen to music off my MP3 players speakers cause they are better that the computers built in speakers, but i can't play out of my computer only what's already on the MP3 player and it is only 2GB so thats not very much. Now i don't kn very much about line-in but the K5 might need to be specialized for, like the headphone jack might not even be able to physically work both ways. Another thing that I was wondering is if the firmwares are very complexed or something because if not then some of the small things that have been mentioned shouldn't be that hard for someone to fix right? Maybe not, oh well.
