k5 mac user

I have a new iMac (version 10.4.8) and i wan't to purchase a samsung k5 mp3 player. I would like to kn if i can get my songs on to it using my mac and if so how.

To make it work with apple machines, you'll have to first hook it up to a windows machine to put the korean 1.05 or higher firmware on there. Then the mac will read it as a removable disk and then you can put your music on there...I'm not sure what software you would use exactly though, because the samsung one only works for windows. You might be able to mount it in itunes and transfer MP3s to it. Protected iTunes files won't work on the K5. Search for upgrading firmware on this forum for the k5, it will tell you exactly what to do.

ok thats great, now just a few more questions
1 where do i find the korean firmware 1.03
2 how do i get it on the k5
3 what is the bennifit of getting a better firmware
4 and if i want to get the 1.43 the other forum doesn't say which 3 zip files are needed and where to get them

It's one zip file, 3 files in there. The korean firmware changes it from a windows only player to a player that can be synced on any computer. If your K5 is 1.03, open the zip file, drag the 3 files into the data folder on the K5; If there is none, make it. Restart and it will install the new firmware.

Ok i now have my K5 and it has firmware 1.02, how do i get to 1.05 and then to 1.43. Do i have to make a folder or something and i kn where to get the zip files for 1.43 but i dont kn where to get the zip for 1.05 (if i need it). Please and Thank you!
