I've noticed the same issue. I think this might be a major bug that no one has picked up on yet. Can ANYONE else confirm please!

Power modes have been discussed thoroughly on this site. A few people have had power usage issues but those folks don't seem to be in the majority.
Make sure the Z5 is fully charged (battery icon turns green). Adjust the backlight to the lowest level that is acceptable. Also, one of the board members did extensive tests which you should be able to find by searching. |

I just purchased a 4gb z5, and it has ver. 1.02. I downloaded 2.37 from the samsung site and attempted to follow the instructions here, however the device shows up strictly as MTP, and wmp 10 will not perform the upgrade (at least not through the "sync" function) can anyone help?
I'm running XP pro, WMP 10. |

Testing 2.37 now & the upgrade took 35 seconds to flash.
No new features evident, haven't tested for bugs yet. |

Sorry, but page 45 is no help. In windows explorer, my z5shows up as a MTP connected camera. The listing shows a picture of a camera and is labeled "Samsung YP-Z5 on Local". The folders "Data" and "Media" do not appear. instead I see a folder called "s10001." That folder contains 2 folders: one called "Music," and one called "pictures." Windows will not allow me to drag or copy the update (dat) file into the device at all in explorer. Why does it think it's a camera? Can I correct XP's identification of the device?

Bigsavings, sorry for the random question, but can you tell me if samsung fixed the "album grouping" problem in 1.37?
(see http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum...12593#post1259 and http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum...ead.php?t=1469 for details) Thanks. I am super impatient and hoping samsung will fix this problem ASAP it is driving me crazy!!!! Cheers, Hirosh |

One thing: when I browse by Album, there are a couple of different Unknown Album entries in the list. Does that help? |

Sorry
, I'll try and clarify with an example:1) I have a song by Mozart, in a 'Various Singles' Ablum (to keep my album list tidy) 2) I go browse by artist, Select Mozart, the next screen will ask me to select which album, ie 'Various singles' 3)I select 'Various singles', however, instead of just showing the music by Mozart in this 'album', it shows all the songs in the Album, thus rendering my search pointless.. I may have well just gone ' browse by album' Ideally, After step 2, and selecting 'Various Singles', only the mozart songs in the 'album' should be displayed. How this affects me :I have 200 songs, which i have thrown into a 'Various singles' album to keep my album list tidy. Now I can't find any of those songs quickly without scrolling through that list manually Hopefully this clears it up, and more importantly, hopefully Samsung have fixed this Thanks a bunch, hirosh
