Hey guys,
I just tried your guide and unfortunately I gotta say that it didn't solve my problem... maybe someone of you knows a solution:

When I connect my Sansa E260 (I got the European version, Firmware 01.02.24E) it shows that lightning next to the battery, meaning that my Sansa is powering up... but after 5 seconds this thing disappears and it is connected but does not power up.
I checked the cable and plugged my device into a friend's notebook - which worked (!) and I think that my usb-port works correctly because the device is connected correctly, I can put my music on it and everything - but it doesn't power up. So there must be a problem with my PC (Windows XP w/ SP2), I guess.
Does someone of you know how to solve this problem, it would really help...

Ok, I have tried this over and over (it used to work)?

But now I can get into recovery mode (sansa e280R), and put on the sansa.fmt file as well as the pp5022.mi4 on the sansa, but nothing happens.

Every single time i turn my sansa on, it gets to the sansa rhapsody load screen and freezes/fades to white lines until the whole screen becomes white-ish. Please Help!!!!

You can PM me, or email me. Or PM me for my email address. Thanks

The bootloader is what start things up and few other things.

You can get the bootloader here: http://daniel.haxx.se/sansa/mi4.html

So if I have an e280R and I put the bootloader of the e250R, the sansa.fmt file, and the .mi4 I should be fine? What do I need to put on the sansa?

Thanks

You need to put the files onto the Sansa when the Sansa is in recovery mode.

Since you have e200R, you need to get the bootloader from the link that I had here: http://anythingbutipod.com/forum/sho...&postcount=225

You can safely download both of them. You can put those files with the "sansa.fmt" file into recovery mode.

Ok,
So I put on the sansa.fmt file, the BL_SD_boardSupportSD.btl file, and the pp5022.mi4 in recovery mode and it still did not fix my problem...

Once again, the problem is when it reaches the sansa rhapsody screen, it freezes, then the screen splits into lines, then eventually turns white. To turn it off, I must hold the power button down for a while.

Try renaming BL_SD_boardSupportSD.btl to BL_SD_boardSupportSD.rom.

I tried it, nothing is working... Has this problem ever happened to anyone before?

I put on the
pp5022.mi4
sansa.fmt
BL_SD_boardSupportSD.rom

and still nothing.

This has happened to other users, but it was an easy fix.

In recovery mode, you should see a version.txt. Can you post it here?
