Now THAT is a fantastic find, and I'd be hesitant to take it out of the box myself!!!

Amazing find, the M5... I guess the battery is dead after sitting on a shelf for 2-3 years, but that is easily fixed. Or you could get store where you bought it to replace it.

Ahhh the wonderful X5 Mine ruled but now it's now just still sitting on my desk without a battery and harddisk (everything works, I can easily find a battery for it but the HDD is dead ) Nice pic.

Thanks, the pic is my first attempt at HDR photography/tone mapping... without making it look too overblown.

I ordered an IDE-to-CF adapter from DX, worth a try to see how solid state memory performs in a rockboxed X5.

@HulkSmashNow
How's the sound on those Aurvana's? I had them a long time ago and they left a good memory

I've heard the sound is better with bigger size on those ear-thingies (the bigger, the better). Could you check that out?

Awesome! A friend of mine has one of those, the difference to the "mini" when it comes to bass is impressive
It's just a shame the RV-B/RV-NB series have been discontinued... I should have bought an RV-NB1 about a year ago while those were still available... for about 150 euros. Nowadays, people pay prices far beyond 300 euros. Pathetic

Thanks, took me quite some effort to do these pics. Lightbox/tent used in direct sunlight, black and white cardboard for shading and getting rid of reflections, etc. The darker pic is a HDR photo, the lighter one is a regular photo at +2 EV. The S9 screen is of course adjusted separately in Photoshop to look somewhat crisp. Would be impossible to see the screen in those photos under normal circumstances.

The result is worth it though imo. I could mount that on a wall.
