Wow, the Grado box is so 1980ies looking, it almost hurts. Doesn't match the phones' 1930 look at all.

They are part of the height adjustment .

Yeah, the phones do look WWII vintage, don't they? And to think, they come in a pizza box

Nice pics Marvin.
Are these Grados comfortable?
The leather, non breathing headband doesn't look too promising.
I pretty like their "old-school" looks though

They seem pretty comfy so far. I've heard that the "bowl" pads can be annoying, but these flat ones are nice. The headband could stand to be a little more cushioned, especially if you buzz your hair like me....I may investigate some minor cushioning mods.

These things are going to ruin my hearing if I'm not careful, I keep wanting to crank them louder and louder. They really match well with the Clip and Fuze, and with either of my FiiO amps.

Without this resorting to a discussing thread, I just want to add I find my Grado SR60s comfortable for prolonged use, and they kick A$$ for their price range. Also, some people cut dime sized holes in the foam cushions, which have been said to open the treble even more.

I've read the same thing about the KSC75's, and my thought is the same....they don't need any more treble...IMO

Yes, I have a way to disassemble them. Some recommend a knife, but that doesn't work for me because the blade is too wide, so I sharpened a screwdriver. I can get them apart without much damage to the casing. Anyone want that special clip BTW?
