Me want but, I kinda swore off high end smartphones because, i refuse to pay full retail price and I refuse to be suckered into another phone contract. Right now I'm on ting and pay for what I use not a cent more, which is usually pretty cheap. Last month was $15. I just bought a lumia 520 and thought better of it and tried to cancel but, too late it's shipped. Don't know if I should keep it,send it back, or sell it on ebay. What do you think marv? I saw you had one.

I've been using it as my daily driver since Saturday morning, and for the price, it's not too shabby at all. Of course, I was able to just put my contract sim card right in it....don't know if you will be able to with your service.

All the basic apps I want (or their equivalents) I found for free in the marketplace. Like for example I don't like the bright theme of the official Twitter app, but there's one called Peregrine that has a dark theme like Tweetcaster (my Android client).

Nah I'm on sprint backbone and the 520 is gsm. I only paid $50 for it. Not sure if its worth keeping just as a media player

The whole appeal of a portable system to me is that it follows me when I get up to go to the bathroom or leave the house
really? I must have much larger pockets than you're average person as the d2 and e11 takes up very little room when I am carrying it on me. when I take the bikes out for a ride I even put it in my pocket. cant say I take my music to the bathroom tho...

Maybe it just looks bigger in picture. I have a e6 and even that I kinda find a hassle to use without pulling it the entire rig out of my pocket. I do have a clip+ i pried the clip off. Maybe if I got some adhesive and a more flexible cable I could somehow attach the two. Maybe velco? That would actually be pretty cool

Ah yeh nice one. The e6 is a good little thing to have. With my setup I used some 3M double sided tape to mount the e11 amp to the front of my cowon case. Because the amp casing is made of brushed allumium and the d2 case is leather, the tape made a good adhesive bond between the two porous surfaces. Velcro would also work but i would recommend buying some 3M velcro with the addition of using a few drops of superglue to make sure it sticks! Im talking from experience! audio cable sits nicely without any kinks so its all pretty good..I have a small laptop so mayb thats making it look bigger than it actually is. :P

Despite having poorly placed speakers, being a fingerprint magnet, horrible camera in low light, lack of a quality podcast app, forcing me to use my iems at a reasonable volume, poor tag detection on some files, hotmail instead of gmail, and an internet explorer based browser I don't regret deciding to keep this. Windows phone is actually quite nice. I am really digging how I can tap the volume button at any time and my music controls will pop up at the top of the screen. Now please someone release something as good as pocketcasts on adnroid.

You can still use gmail. I have gmail, yahoo mail, and now a hotmail all working on that phone. Of course, now that the 4.4.2 KitKat update is downloading on my Optimus G Pro WOOHOO.gif I may not use the Lumia for a couple of weeks...lol.

I don't blame you. It's decent for music and the free apps are pretty good but, a quality android phone is a way better experience. I'm just using mine for music and jotting down my work schedule in evernote

After a long long break, here it is my current portable audio gear:
Recabled JVC HA-FX300 with in-line control functions (partially DIY, cable's from an online store) on Galaxy Note 2

I'd written off my B&W P3's as being too muddy, but they turned out to be the perfect match for my new iBasso DX50. Odd, because it drives my HD-25's well too, which I've always found bright.

New DAP:

After a wait of 17 days the Cowon X9 finally came in last afternoon. Sounds absolutely exquisite with my M50's.

Thank-you Milkerman!

I was initially planning to get a Cowon M2 but unfortunately it's still not been released in my country and can only be pre-ordered still. Decided to go with the X9 instead.
