iRiver H1x0 remote control compatible with my H3x0. Brand new for €25
The original LCD remote for H3x0 (in the middle on the pic below) is probably more ergonomic with its joystick but well... almost impossible to find nowadays.




I also bought my first Philips DAP. I always dreamt for that as Philips DAPs are so awesome. Judge by yourself: 2007 GoGear SA9200 2GB, full MTP, touchpad, proprietary cable, no folder browsing, bad UI etc
But...but.... this one is rockboxable. Thus I'm currently making the first user theme for this model. Work in progress:




Last but not least, the new Samsung S Pebble (YP-W1). Has just been released in Germany, not even in Korea yet.
Far more better than any Sansa DAP. This is the best player ever. So good that I'm wondering if a ABI review is worth it?

Question; The iriver there is the H340, right? And do you have the H10? It’s the only iriver I have listened to, the one I played with and heard was all tricked out, sounded great, do they sound the same?

BTW that pebble looks more like a rock than the creative stone, I actually like the look better, let's hope performance is better than you described on irc

I understand your pains! Just bought a Cowon X5. After I get a Rio Karma I will be happy, though (until FiiO releases the X3...)

Edit: I was thinking of buying an old Philips HDD DAP, such as HDD120 or HDD6320/6330, but I scrapped that idea when I found the Samsung YH-J70. Have you heard any of these two older Philips HDD-players?

This is actually a H320 (20GB HDD) but the H340 with 40GB HDD does exist, indeed.

I should have a 5GB H10.... if the ebay seller sent it to me. I had to leave my first negative feedback to him, after 7 years shopping on ebay without any problem. The guy put 3 H10 for sale and no one got the item. Look at the feedbacks here http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAP...Feedback&rt=nc . Fortunately paypal paid me back
Back to your question, thus I can't say if they sound the same but the H3x0 sounds very good, powerful enough for almost any headphone but too much hiss with my IEM.

Yeah I know the HDD120, I wanted to buy it at the time as I thought it looks nice and I guess that is why people bought it and why it is quite famous (for a Philips device). But overall it's a crappy player with bad ergonomics, bad screen and UI. I would just buy it for fun if I can find it for €10-15 . I never tried the HDD6330 but it seems similar to my SA9200 in some ways (rockboxable and shitty touchpad)

edit: You're lucky for the X5! It's still missing in my collection. Completely overpriced on ebay

I was a bit lucky with the X5. I won it on Swedish Ebay affiliate site Tradera for 565 SEK (around €66) with a pair of AKG K518DJ headphones included. On Ebay they always end up costing more.

The seller had recently put in a new battery. It's the X5V model, so it's got a smaller battery than the X5L with around 12-13 hours of battery time, and no radio. But I don't need radio on all my DAP's...

I've been switching mine from the OF to Rockbox a lot. I like all the goodies that Rockbox has, but I also like BBE a lot ... and I can't match the sound from the OF in RB; maybe some of you can help with some sound settings for RB

RaduSpeedy very nice gear I almost got one a long time ago. Quick question, with BBE or even all the great tweaks in rockbox, do you really fine a need for the ZO?

Well, only sometimes, and with certain albums.
I use a mix of both BBE and ZO: the eq on the X5 is flat and BBE is on level 3/10, and the ZO is in the "green zone" ; also, when listening with the HJE900 I don't use the ZO at all, it's just too much (even on the first level)

Yes! Finally a Rio Karma in good working condition! It has seen very little use, the battery still lasts probably 7 or 8 hours and the only sign of use are some small scratches on the screen...

Do the included headphones still have the "J" yoke on them? I like the sound of the ones I got with my S639, the yoke kills it for me.
