They're the 35 Ohm version (it's in the name - GMP 8.35 vs. GMP 8.300).

Well, for the sound, I dunno, kinda torn at the moment. They are very clear and dynamic and have excellent instrument separation - but regarding their frequency response, they start sounding natural to my ears when I add some 12dB of bass and remove some 4dB of treble... I guess K701/DT880 fans might love them as they are.

Also, they have the best isolation of all full sized cans I tried so far. Those weird ear pads sure do their job. (Although I'm gonna try the Beyer DT770 pads, see what they do - except for being more comfortable.)

The whole thing depends on the fit. For proper bass sound one needs to stick metal pipes into the ear canals.

Even though I only tried them in a loud store way back when, I was not impressed by those things, even wearing them was uncomfortable with those metal things poking into the side of your head(right infront of your ears). Seemed like the least elegant way to make these so called "Ear speakers"

Thanks for the feedback, I thought as much about being uncomfortable but didn’t want to jump the gun since I never tried them. Luckily they were discontinued in 09 from what I read
