How do they sound? I like a good DJ headphone but they seem to usually have quite overwhelming bass. The only exception to this rule that I have heard is the Pioneer HDJ-2000, although it can also be considered a bass-heavy headphone... I guess they just managed to hit the right compromise with the big bass and relatively clear mids and trebles.

About SQ , other people opinion and i am agree with it:
"DN-HP500 are unlike some other DJ headphones in that they don't try to pound the listener with hard-hitting or boomy bass. Whereas, say, Equation Audio RP-21 will boost low bass and make all drums hard-hitting, Denon DJ DN-HP500 have a polite, slightly rounded-off bass. Foster/Denon engineers must've taken into account that "pneumatic drill" tuning is fatiguing. The tuning is quite "sweet": square holes tune to low midrange/bass, smaller circular holes to "sweet" midrange/high midrange/treble." i have compare them with sennheiser hd465 and akg 99 and they are not even close to denon all in all, those two guys have made good job. well done.

Remind me of my Denon HP700, but the 700 has a prominent mid range, and also one of the most clear treble I've heard in DJ phones. I like them better than the ATH M50 that gets so highly praised, but I am not into the tick/prominent bass. I had problem with the pads so I used the Fischer audio FA003's pads to make them more comfortable, here a bigger pict

do you have problem with assembling them.
do they lose contact on wires because of daily assembling. i agree with you these denon series is have very clean sound and for my taste bass is just as it should be. i see you have changed your cable. was it difficult and does all job finishing in left headphone or you have to move cable all the way to the right headphone

My Fuze has been running for 3 years in a row. Intensive everyday use. Been to Africa. Two times. Battery doing well. 17 hours, give or take a few. No reliability problems. Never.
So, it definitely deserves birthday presents. Got it a 16gB uSD, a cristal case, a pair of Radiopaq Jazz IEMs and, for the first time, Rockbox! Got a new player!!! ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us

^^ lucky I had 3 fuzes 2 refurbs then a new one they all fell victim to the same problem of the scroll wheel seizing up. first one came to me broken but the second one and third one developed the condition over the course of a few months. I tried cleaning the wheel and all that did was fix it temporarily until 5 minutes later it got stuck again.
I have had my clip+ for 2 years now though and it has been very intensively used and been abused and dropped and still works just fine |

My Fuze has worked fine for a few years now. I gave it to my Dad and he uses it at work and even on his motorcyle and it still works great. The outside is all scratched up but it still works fine.

Does it play tape or is it just a pocket radio?
