hi marv ill post first impressions tonight, good so far although beware itll be being used with the ipod not the fuze and with pfe not the hje900, usually the fuze is set up with the ZO and hje900.

Stein - they work a treat over the ear, with the pfe guids and meelec tips very comfy and not going anywhere lol

ok so after a few hours of listening with the ipod and pfe combo, im really impressed it using the high gain setting and eq on 0 or 1 really lets the pfe shine, tracks like adele turning tables, pink floyds us and them sound full bodied and crystal clear but where its really shining is on my copy of VA tronic album and portishead live the music just sounds amazing. The amp is definetley on a par or better than my ibasso t3d that im getting rid of for the fiio (the volume knob sold me). All in i cannot believe the price this is selling at its unbelievable. The e11 is slighty warm but in a good way.

in terms of amps i have owned/ used for a substantial time id run it down like this.

1. headstage arrow (incredible amp)
2. fiio e11
3. ibasso t3d (sq about same as fiio but i prefer the added features on fiio)
4. cmoybb
5. pav
6. nuforce icon mobile
7. fiio e5

None of these were particularly bad all were a great improvement over the hp out.

I used the shure srh440 and got good results but will be getting a loan of my old allessandro ms1 next week to test it out with full size cans.

Depends on your headphones and preferences, I would say. In my case, I bought it mostly to pair up with my Zune HD, although I will certainly try it with my other players.

Salsa and Reggaeton presets? I assume the target audience for that thing are goths?

I was a bit mystified at those presets when I saw them. I don't own any reggaeton or salsa, so I couldn't say if they are worth anything or not....lol. The Rock setting is your traditional V-shaped EQ sound, so it is useful from time to time....and the Dance setting, as you might imagine, pumps up the area where bass transitions into mids, and so really is never useful. Basically, I only use the Flat or Rock settings.

The E6, on the other hand, I love that EQ2 setting. The EQ1 setting sounds like the old E3 amp to me, all muffled.

Excellent, provided you do not need any EQ or other sound enhancements.
Over all it sees about the same usage as my Clip+, but only with IEMs, I have no idea how well it drives bigger stuff.
