Right out of the box, with no EQ, they sound pretty good coming from a Clip+. I'll probably do some slight EQ-ing once I've had them long enough to do comparisons to my other 'phones, but these first few days, anyways, I'll run them flat. It's possible they will settle in a little....I don't think that "burn-in" really does very much to headphones.

Going strictly from memory, the upper mids do seem a bit more audible than the PX100's used to, which is a good thing....I always had to bump them up with the PX100's.

Over the next few days, I will let myself get a better feel for them before I really comment further, but so far, so good!

With no EQ, I prefer the Portapros. Not a huge difference.....it may be as simple as the fact that I prefer the sound of open-backed 'phones to closed, because I always liked the PX100's just a little bit better than the Flats too.

Congrats on the PortaPros! I don't really like the design, they look so uncomfortable! How's the comfort?

@McDougal.....I think they would suck for people with long hair. They shrink right up when I take them off, but when I expand them to put them on, I can see what I've read about before, where they could pull someone's hair. That's not an issue for me, since I just buzzed mine again last week with the 1/8" (3.175mm) attachment on my clippers. But once on, they're comfortable enough......more so than the Flats with those pleather earpads.

I'm organizing my stuff for a move, and i found some random headphones i forgot i had, i kinda want to glue some ksc75 on them as they have some good clamping force.

dude, do it...although, i have to say I havent used y ksc75 at all since I modded the headband on them. I just didint fall in love with them like everyone esle. now the ksc35 from back in the day...loved those.

New workout phones. They were apparently a hit at CES, so I picked them up. Yurbuds Ironman, which were "designed" by a tri-athlete to never fall out.



Initially disappointed though.
