Default Tagging Podcasts as...Podcasts?

Hey all,

There are a number of Podcasts that I subscribe to that do not tag themselves as Podcasts. The problem with this is that when I load them on my Sansa e250, they do not show up under the "Podcast" genre.

I have tried to modify the Genre by right-clicking the file and editing the Genre in the properties as well as using some third party software (Fixtunes for instance) and they still do not show up as "Podcasts" on my sansa. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Ummm, I guess it depends where you get your podcasts. I downloaded mine, and they show up as podcasts...
Wont editing the ID3 tag correct this?

Just use an ID tagging software. There is a podcast that I download and for some reason it's Genre is tagged as "Blues" and it has nothing to do with music.

Should try media monkey and setup your podcasts to download with that, it does what you want and will tag all podcasts as podcast and will even move them to your MP3 player.

One thing you could try is to delete the song/podcast off of your player, and then reload it. When syncing my player, I've found that, at times, if a song is already on my player it won't be replaced by updated version unless I first delete that song from my player. Otherwise, the old version just stays on the player.

I hope that helps.
