VMServer or VirtualBox don't really give you a choice - either the USB device is there, or it's not. Both programs see the Sansa, they just can't connect to it. (it's "/media/Sansa E260", in my case).

I think it's an Ubuntu issue, as I can run this on an XP host and an XP VM, and I have no issues. And I have tried OpenSUSE in the past, with no issues. I was wondering if any Ubuntu users had seen this problem, and if they had a fix.
