Furthermore, the Texas Instruments DaVinci chipset used in the A3 is supposed to be faster.

I wouldn't complain about too little changes between the A2 and A3... noone seems to complain that the 5th gen iPod is nearly the same as the 1st gen iPod... With the A3, they changed/added useful stuff and didn't touch the stuff that already works fine.

Especially MKV support in the A3 is very good news to me, since I got lots of movies in a Matroska container, with multiple language tracks, multiple subtitle tracks and chapters. The A3 is definitely the first hardware player to support that, no matter if portable or stationary.
