Default Smallest USB microsd card reader without activity light?

Based on another thread, I bought a couple of these:

http://www.amazon.com/elago-Mobile-m...sd+card+reader

But there's an activity light on it, and it's distracting in the car

I see this one is the same style:

http://www.amazon.com/Aftermarket-Pr...pd_sim_sbs_e_4

But it's got one too. Anyone know of one made in this same style without an activity light? Definitely want the card itself inside the USB connector to prevent potential loss, and the lowest possible profile.

I don't think there is a light on this one....http://www.amazon.com/MOBILEMATE-Mic.../ref=de_a_smtd

I've actually got one of those, but it leaves the card exposed, and it's too long. The USB port is right above the detachable faceplate release button, and the whole unit is in a pocket, so it's hard to get it even with nothing inserted.

The faceplate is constantly going in and out of my bag, so that low profile design was super sexy. It's even shorter than the volume knob.

Not sure about others but I've gotten 1 like marvin's and 3 other different readers for free when I've ordered microSD cards the last couple of times. Now with 4 I'm set as there's four of us in our household.

Edit: BTW the 32GB cards I've bought have been between $25 and $32 dollars so I doubt I paid too much, btw none of mine have an activity light.

I don't know of any other models with that specific card-inside-the-USB-connector design (WalkGood, can you locate any of the LED-less ones you own online?). If all else fails, kp-j3, can you paint over the LEDs on your elago Mobile Nano IIs to remove the distraction?

I've got one of these. Very small (lose the cover and maybe the loop), no light, card fits almost all inside.

This is one that came free with my last 32GB card.....
Edit: it has a loop and cover like in Steve's post above, that I removed for the sake of the photo. No light either.

That's my plan B. I was thinking a solid epoxy or plastic filler for durability. Was just hoping there was something out there already.

Mine's just like the first one that marvin showed up above but shorter. I don't have any of the one's with the card-inside the USB connector design.

Ah, so maybe this one? The first link Marvin gave appears to be a knock-off of the SanDisk version (notice the conspicuous lack of branding). Not what the OP is looking for, in any case.

Why don't you just put a small piece of tape over the light?

It's all black, subjected to exterior temps from below zero to triple digits Fahrenheit. That's why I wasn't too excited about paint or other methods to try and "fix" it, because I'm not sure what will survive.

I've already had my toll transponder fall off, despite a huge patch of velcro, the size of it, smearing hot goo on everything on the way down.

The card reader that comes with the microSDHC cards in the Kingston mobility kits is very small. Together with a 16GB class 4 card it is around $11. You could buy the reader separately for around $5, but with a 16GB card for $11 is a much better deal.

Since I was already told in one of my posts, I don't think this would work for the OP. He's looking for a very low profile one like the link he shows. Personally I'd just go with the included one myself.
