Default Common threads in Sensme Channels

I love my Sony Walkman and I love SensMe. But I'm wondering how exactly it determines what goes in each channel. I've read that all the songs are plotted on a graph of sorts, with one axis representing the speed and the other representing the mood. So you have the songs rated between happy and sad, and between fast and slow. However, that seems overly simplistic, and there seems to be more to it that Sony's not sharing! Otherwise, I would think there would be immense similarity between Relax, Mellow, Lounge, Emotional and Midnight, and immense similarity between Upbeat, Daytime and Energetic, and between Energetic and Dance, just to name a few. But somehow Emotional seems to stick to love songs (for example), whereas the Dance channel somehow manages to stick to songs with unique/irregular beats.

So what's going on here? Has anybody noticed any common trends within each channel, like songs are in a similar key with a similar tempo, etc.?
