Nope. I missed that one. Thanks for pointing it out.

I always knew if I lived long enough I'd someday make my first mistake.

Call them. I bought a Zagg protector for one of my devices last week, and it had a defect. It's an indentation the size of a pencil point on the face, and casts a shadow on the screen. The rep put a new one in the mail the same day, and at no cost at to me. He told me to stick the defective one in an envelope, and mail it back. I usually don't bother with emails for product service with companies like this, as they are notoriously unresponsive. Oddly enough, these companies are very responsive if you call them.

When I tried to contact Samsung last week about Gorilla glass on SGP's, their email system is nuts! I just scrolled down to the phone number, and had a rep within a few minutes. Their live chat was unavailable because they were too busy as well...

I've also called Samsung support, although not about this. The day I got my SGP 4.2, which was the day after it was first available on Amazon, I called Samsung to ask for the part number of the battery so I could buy a spare.

The device was so new no-one knew the battery part number but I was really impressed with how hard they tried to find it for me. Then, I guess 2 days later, I got a call from one of the women at Samsung that I talked to and she gave me the part number.

These guys take customer service pretty seriously.

Default Customer Support

So many companies are better at answering phone calls, than emails. I belong to a fly fishing forum, and people are always complaining that they don't get email responses from various manufacturers and suppliers. The usual response is "Call Them". I tried to use Samsung's email request page, but it's too limiting. Their phone service was excellent (like Barry's experience), however.

That is a lie, a very, very big lie. The s9 most certainly has gorilla glass, as that was one of the major marketing points i remember. As did the samsung p3. I will be damned if the ipad was the first device. It might have been the first APPLE device to have gorilla glass on it. Syndrome appears to be giving the most accurate information of anybody on this thread (regardless of people discarding his posts and thinking their screen has a hardness of 9.) And the galaxy player (and right about 3/4 of all capacitive touch screens these days) have gorilla glass.

I just did some reading, wikipedia claims that in 06 the iphone was the first to have gorilla glass, this might be possible but im still hesitant at believing that, iphones shattered oh so easily, and in a different way then i have seen any other gorilla glass product. (i know it isnt supposed to be impact resistant but somehow i doubt that gorilla glass would spider through the entire screen from a 2 foot drop, ive seen some pretty terrible durability tests that have lived through it)

The main thing you have to worry about is quartz, more then any other everyday object. Gorilla glass's worst enemy. Here is a demonstration of the p3s screen, (another 09 product) from the wonderful enzoten
