I figured that out by accident when flashing from one ROM to another without doing a "Wipe Data/Factory reset" I was getting an error that my trial that I had just installed less then 24 hrs. prior had expired and that is what fixed it. Truth is I don't use that method because I flash a different ROM so frequently these days and I wipe data/factory reset everytime now so It always sees my player as a new device in the Google Play store and I'm concerned that if I bought it I may have issues with the activator because of the sheer amount of flashing I do, once I settle down to a final DAILY driver ROM then I will drop the 5 bucks on it. my market currently shows 12 GT-I9000 (deviceID hack) and my concern is if I pay for it right now that I might hit some arbitrary limit to the number of devices I can use it on despite the fact that its really only on my SGP 4.0 and my Razr.
