Fair point. The constant stimulation modern conveniences allow for may be detrimental in the long run. Time will tell.

Interestingly, in tonite's Closing Ceremony, I saw one of the athletes who was entering the stadium during the parade of athletes using what seemed to be an iPad taking video/pictures--with the backside Apple emblem taped over with black tape. I guess the "no non-sponsor logos" message got through . . . .

Watching the men's marathon yesterday, I saw plenty of roadside spectators filming the athletes on tablets, Playbooks and iPads etc. I guess they can't control that.

They also seemed to be picking out people actually using tablets to film stuff, possibly for the sole reason that it looks kind of funny. Although always its a covered tablet, or then an obscure tablet that nobody knows. Like an Asus transformer :P
