Well, why don't you get on that, Marv!

I don't have the necessary gear or know-how to do it...but I made the same request on Head-Fi, and somebody gave it a shot.....

The setup is: Galaxy Tab 7+ (line-out) + O2 + CX300 feed into Behringer UC222's line-in (only the software players are different). The majority of the measurement are similar, except for one area. Neutron is SIGNIFICANTLY less noisy then Poweramp, both in Noise Level as well as in IMD+Noise.

It is official, Neutron FTW!

I just got poweramp for my SGP 3.6. What a great player! User interface is excellent- much better then stock. All the settings however are a bit overwhelming and I didn't see a good online tutorial. What audio setting so you guys use with the SGP? Does anyone know what Direct Volume Control (DVC) does on poweramp? Do you guys leave that on or off? As of right now I find the user interface really good over the stock but I don't find the sound to be much different.

Personally I don't do anything with the EQ, and always use DVC. but I play almost all my music thru my car stereo so that is where my eq settings are at.

Thanks- that is exactly what I use my SGP for- for music in the my car through the aux input. What does DVC actually do?

Its some kind of dynamic boost or something, all I know is it makes the music louder on my 4.0, but I will say try to get an earlier version then whats in the play store now (2.0.6) they "fixed" a jumpy volume issue that occured when DVC was on and the player doesn't get as loud now, I managed to find the last versions (2.0.5) 2-week trial and just installed (and disabled auto update of the app) it to get the louder top volume of the older DVC (i'll deal with spikey volume if it gives me a higher max to put to the radio), which is needed to come closer to matching CD volume levels on the car radio.
