Default WMA + id3tag ==> bad files

(the question applies to the Sansa c250, but I'm posting in the e200 forum since this is where there's a Linux section)

Using the id3tag utility, I applied ID3 tags to some WMA files which I uploaded to the Sansa. But now the player won't play those files saying they're corrupt or something like that (forgot the actual error message).

I also applied tags to some MP3 files using the same procedure and those files are recognized just fine.

What could be the cause?
