Default Playlist help (firmware v. 1.55)

I just recieved my K5 in the mail today with a firmware version of 1.55, and spent all morning trying to get playlists on it, as most of my music files are ripped video game music are ID-tagged all funny.

I make my own playlists through winamp, but when uploading through windows explorer, i get a "File type is not supported on this device" error.

I've read about writing playlists in notepad and saving them in a specific format readable by the player, but when I upload it, I still get the same error.

I've tried saving the created playlists directly into the device, but the device itself doesn't appear in the "save as" dialogue box.

So I've read about media monkey and tried it. Yes i can make playlists, but when i try to send/sync into the K5 player, it simply will not do so. No error message, but no success either.

My final resort was to kill the driver that recognized it as an MTP device so i can upload the playlists via explorer but then the device won't get recognized at all.

I know nothing can be done at this point. I can just assume that as far as playlists goes, 1.55 is a lost cause.

And as for my song files, everything appears in the media manager as a huge list of some few hundred "untitlted" files because of how they were ripped, which makes the program near impossible for me to manage songs on.
