Considering T10 over Clix

I'm considering getting the T10 for my first MP3 player, over the Clix, but have a few questions.

Reasons I am leaning to this older model (new ones available on eBay):
-- AA battery use for 45 hours of playback.
-- Cost.
-- Concern about a replacement battery for the Clix -- how much would it be? where would I send?

Questions:
-- How easy/difficult is it to create playlists for the T10?
-- Can you wake up to music with it, like you can with a Clix?

p.s. I'm mostly considering this for the gym and don't think I need the video and photo capabilities of the Clix, although it looks very, very cool.

personaly i think youll love clix more.... easier navigation simple if your used to ipods. if you dont want to use video playback thats fine but its a nice feature trust me youll probably use it some time... the radio is good cause in the gym you know with the tvs they ahve the fm to tune to.. lol. but i personaly say with my clix andi owned others its great, if you want something smaller width wise wait for clix 2 itll be a lil bigger then nano

You can't wake up to a T10 IIRC, it has no timer going when it's off. Not sure about the playlists though

I wake up with music from my T10 every morning, so it clearly does have
the timer also when switched off. Playlists can be created with iriver plus,
or you can convert m3u lists using LJConvert.

In addition, it has a very sturdy clip and is generally very robust. For your
purposes, I'd recommend it over the clix. The coolness factor of the clix is far
higher, but not worth the extra cash and lower battery life, if used mainly for
the gym and as an alarm clock.
