Default Rockbox on Creative Zen!

Yes, it does work! I tried installing it yesterday on my wife's old Zen that had been lying in a box in the attic for 3,5 year.

The installation is fairly straight forward and can be found here together with links to the necessary files: http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/CreativeZENPort

First, I went into recovery mode by pressing play while turning on the Zen. In the recovery menu I chose "reload firmware".

Then I started a (DOS) command prompt in Windows and went into the directory where I had placed two files - bootloader for the Zen and a small software that sends the bootloader to the Zen. I typed: sendfirm.exe firmware-zen.nk (the second one is the bootloader).

After the bootloader was installed I started the Zen and connected it to my computer. I started the Disk Management Tool in Windows and formatted the Zen with FAT32.
After that was done I unzipped the Rockbox firmware to the Zen. Then booted and voilà! Rockbox on the Zen!
